The New England Historic Genealogical Society

The New England Historic Genealogical Society, 99-101 Newbury St. Boston MA 02116 USA, began collecting books, manuscripts, and other resources shortly after it was founded in 1845. Unpublished manuscript material is held by the Society's R. Stanton Avery Special Collections and include family and personal papers, records of family associations, papers of  professional and amateur genealogists, and primary source documents that support genealogical and local history research.
